School books in Bumbula

(4. book project)

Another book project was realized in Ghana. Of the three villages we wanted to focus on, we have now reached the third one, namely: Bumbula!

Bumbula is located in the Oti Region, directly in the north of the Volta Region.
We donated exactly 896 books!
The number of books is much higher than last time for two reasons: On the one hand, the school includes more classes and students; on the other hand, there has fortunately been deflation due to the new government. Ghanaians can now afford their lives better again. And we are now also able to fulfill one of our wishes financially:
In the last projects, we unfortunately could not afford to equip a school with all subjects and at the same time buy enough books so that students could look into a book in pairs.
But thanks to the deflation, we were now able to buy enough books for the school in Bumbula so that not three, but two students can look into one book.

It was again important to us that the village contributes a part. Therefore, dear friends of Lyle bought the books in Accra in consultation and brought them to Kpando. From there, they picked up village members and brought them to Bumbula, where the meeting and the gathering with the students took place.

A message from Lyle on this:
"Good evening, Kirsi. [...]
I arrived safely and was warmly welcomed by the students and staff. I have been working closely with the teachers to introduce myself to the children, and I am thrilled to see how excited they are to dive into the new materials.
Guiding the children to read and explore these books has been an incredible experience. Their curiosity and enthusiasm are contagious! The community and students are overjoyed, and they are already seeing a positive impact on their [...] academic enthusiasm. [...]
Thank you again for your kindness and support."

Once again, thank you for your support – thanks to you, another school has received schoolbooks!
